A Little Columbine Valley History

Columbine Valley began in 1955 when 17 founding members selected the 295-acre Heckendorf Farm along the South Platte River Valley as the setting for a championship golf course surrounded by homes.

As neighboring Denver and Littleton grew, residents became concerned about possible annexation. Columbine Valley incorporated as its own town in 1959, helping preserve the residential character that continues to define the community today.
